About the Parkies
West Epping Parkies is a park cricket side. This site keeps track of the things the club actually cares about between games.
Gusto voting
After each game, members vote for the three players who showed the most gusto — 3 points, 2 points and 1 point — and optionally the one who showed the least, which costs a point. Standings accumulate across the season.
Fines
Dropped catches, ducks, blowups and turning up late all carry a price. The pot funds the end-of-season trip.
The season
Every fixture, result and scorecard, straight from PlayHQ, with batting, bowling and fielding figures for the season and for all time. Click any name for their career.
Match reports
The club's own write-up of each round — the game, the gusto and the fines that came out of it — kept for as long as the site is.
Goals
Set a personal target for the season, track your progress, and share it with the rest of the club if you're brave.
Awards
The season's awards and the honour board behind them, plus the trophies the games hand out, which change hands whenever a leaderboard does.
